YOU ARE MORE THAN THE SUM OF YOUR SCORES.
But there is another question:
HOW WELL ARE THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF YOUR HUMAN SYSTEM ACTUALLY WORKING TOGETHER?
We measure intellligence. We meesure personality. We measure stress, aruety, resilience, wellbeing, behavior, performance, and countless individual dimensions of human experience.
That is the question behind the Human Integration Assessment" -HIA".
HIA is an emerging assessment framework developed within the Human Integration Method" (HIM"") to explore patterns of functioning across Interconnected dimensions of the human system.
Rather than asking only how much of a particular trait, symptom, strength, or ditficulty you have, HIAe examines something different:
How does your system function as a whole?

FROM SENSE OF COHERENCE TO
FUNCTIONAL COHERENCERM
The idea that health involves more than the absence of illness is not new.
In the late twentieth century, medical sociologist Dr. Aaron Antonovsky introduced the concept of salutogenesis-shifting attention from the origins of disease toward bhe origins of health.
Instead of asking only. "Why do people become il7". Antonovsky became interested in another question: "What helps people remain well and adapt despite stress?"
His work introduced the Sense of Coherence, describing a global orientation through which iife is experienced as compreheobile, manageabie, and meaningful. His work became an important contribution to salutogenic research and continues to influence health-promotion schelarship.
HIM™ begins from a related-but different-question.

WHAT IF COHERENCE CAN
ALSO BE EXAMINED FUNCTIONALLY?
Not simply whether life feels coherent, but whether the systems involved in human functioning are operating in wwys that support one another.
This distinction led to the development of Functional Coherence™.
FUNCTIONAL COHERENCE™
Functional Coherence' refers, within the HIM" framework, to the degree to which mulitple dimennions of human funcconing operate together as an integrated System capable of regulation, adapration, connection, embodiment, and etfective action.

It is not the absence of difficulty.
It is not emotional perfection.
It is not constant balance.
IT IS THE CAPACITY OF THE SYSTEM TO WORK TOGETHER.
WHY FUNCTIONAL COHERENCE MATTERS

A person can be highly intelligent and chronically dysregulated.

Emotionally inaighttul but unable to act.

Successful prrfessionally while disconnected from the body.

Deeply caring but unable to maintain healthy relational boundaries.

Self-aware but repeatedly making choices that contradict what they know.

Reslient in one environment and overwhelmed in another.
20it. The indivdosl capeicties mnay aelet.
THE QUESTION IS WHETHER THEY ARE WORKING TOGETHER.
HIA" was developed to make that question measurable.

WHAT DOES HIA™ ASSESS?
The HIA Core examines functioning across five foundational domains of the Human integration architecture.

01
NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
Can the oystem regulate acitvation sufficiently to remain functionafly avallable?
Examines patterns associated with activation, recovery, reguletion, and functional stabitty.

02
EMOTIONAL INTEGRATION
Can emotional irdormation be experienced. processed. and incorporated without taking over the entire system?
Explores the relationship between emotional experienco, regulation, interpretation, and response.

03
IDENTITY ALIGNMENT
Is the way you lve increasintly consistent with who you understand yourselt to be?
Examines internal alignmern among values, self-perception, boundaries, direction, and fived expression

04
RELATIONAL COHERENCE
Can you remain connected wtthout losing yourseif?
Expiores relational patterno involving connection, boundaries. reciprocity, commnunication, and interperconal functioning.

05
SOMATIC AWARENESS
Can you recognize and use information coming from your body?
Examines awareness of bodlly states, signals. tension, activation, needs, and embodied experience.

FROM FIVE DOMAINS TO ONE FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM
HIA" does more than produce five seperate scores. The computational architecture examines how pattrens across the foundational domains contnibute to broader properties of integrated functioning.

CAPACITY
How much functional resource speares to be avallable scroos the system

SYNCHRONY
How consithmtly deferent areas of fmottanng sppeor to be operating together rather thon mavig in oppoting drections.

RECIPROCITY
How offedituly functonal copacitha syppert and infiuence one an0tNv whtn the brooder System.

HARMONY
The deyae of orerall functianal compatelity acroso the architecture.
Together, these contribute to the modieled Functional Coherence Field () and ultimately to the
